BUSINESS MEETING
A Club Charity was discussed and George Smallwood reported on behalf of the
committee that several are being considered. The programs being considered are all for
some type of youth program. Prior to a final decision the programs will be presented to
the members for approval. Eight programs are on the agenda presently. If you have a
suggestion contact George Smallwood, Roger Reid or Lee Langer.
“Hometown Heroes” Annual Fundraising Event will be held on October 25th at The TD
Waterhouse Center in Orlando. They are looking for people to volunteer time as
performers to entertain the guests who will number about 1700. Balloon Artists, Face
Painters, Strolling and Platform Magicians are needed. Contact Roger Reid for more

Season. Contact Jim Moody for more information.

The 2007 Villages Show is still an open issue and Star Performers are still being
considered for this show. Some of the suggestions are Fred Moore, Jeff McBride and
Jim Chantier. All suggestions should be directed to Jim Moody or presented at our
meetings.
Jim Moody reported on the new motion picture “The Illusionist”. He, Magic Ian and
their wives attended the premier in Maitland and felt it was well done and very enjoyable.
Dandy Dan fascinated everyone with his account of the London Trip he recently
completed. He was treated to a guided tour of the Magic Circle and was also given a tour
of the famous Davenport’s Magic Shop. Dan described his trip so well we felt we had
gone with him.
