November Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 7:03

We had a visitor, Dale Davis
The Treasurers report was read and excepted as is.
We had 37 members present at the meeting.
Old business
The Aldo Columbini lecture for the new youth group that Greg Solomon is
running was a great success. There were a few members that showed up
and a lot of youth.
The Daytona Convention was great, it started out on the low side with
the Friday night dinner and show not being what most had expected. If
it had not been for Tom Bergoon the show would have been a total flop.
The lecturers were really good and worth the convention price. Greg
Solomon, one of our own, won second place in the close-up competition.
National Magic Week went well and some of the club members participated
in some walk around magic for the NY Café where we meet, thanks to Greg
Solomon, Jack Palumbo, Andy Long, George Smallwood, Magic Ian, and Jim
Moody.
Our holiday party will be held at the Harbor Side Restaurant on 441
starting at 6pm there will be a gift exchange so bring something worth
$10 or more wrapped and ready for some after dinner fun.
New Business
Next meeting moved to the 29th of Dec at the Harbor side Restaurant.
Greg Solomon brought up some ideas purchasing items at the dollar
store. Also it was brought up about having David Ginn and friends
coming down and doing their KidBiz workshop, and also about the Balloon
Guy from Tampa coming to lecture.
The debate over the trivia question ended with no one winning. The
question was where did what was Blackstone's real name and where did he
come up with the Blackstone name.
50/50 winner Bob Brant one our newest members.
Meeting adorned 8 pm.

Show Time

Lenn "Ducky" MC'ed the show starting with some of his jokes and
performance of start making with a rubber band. Richard Hewitt than
perform a Block and Rod penetration with the story of Santa coming down
the chimney and not being able to be caught. Bob Brant wow us with some
really great mental magic using a stocking and some cards and than
finishing off with a card trick that even fooled Jim Moody. Speaking of
Jim, he was up next. Jim Moody had everyone in stitches with his jokes
prior to doing his magic with a bag that changed colors and finally
ending with a smiley face tie for a Christmas present. Magic Ian than
performed a wonderful production of streamers out of an empty stocking
and ended with a large production of flowers that came from the Santa
hat he had been wearing the whole time. Than Andy Long performed an
amazing card trick that baffled us all and finished with a performance
of Out of this World that was out of this world. Than Magic Ian came
back to perform a cut and restored ribbon and as always he amazed us
with his style and performance.
