Meeting Minutes - I.B.M. Ring 258

The meeting was opened by President Jim Moody at 7:00 p.m.  with the Pledge of Allegance.  There were no guests or visitors this month.  The March minutes and Treasurer's report were approved and accepted. 
There is no news yet to report on the Boggy Creek show. 
The group gave very favorable reviews of the Fred Moore Lecture that we had on Sunday, April 22, 2012.  Twenty five people attended the lecture.  We will be having Rafael Benatar lecturing for us on June 02, 2012 at the Best Western. 

A donation was made to Congregation Sinai in memory of Ed Sietz. 
Our club picnic will be held on Sunday, June 10.  This will be about a month earlier than last year due to the heat.  George Smallwood has been very gracious to let us use his house to hold our picnic.  The sign up sheet was passed around and will be available one last time at our May Meeting. 
Wally Libenson is checking into places for us to have our annual holiday party.
New Business:
President Moody reminded everyone that dues are due.
There will be a one day convention in Tampa on Saturday, June 16th, 2012.  It will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  There are Lectures, Shows, and an all day dealer room.  It will be held at the Embassy Suites, 3705 Spectrum Blvd. Tampa, Florida

Greg Solomon reported that the Magic Camp in Ocala is ready.
There were 2 new applications presented for membership.  Due to the magic auction that was being held right after the meeting, we had no product reviews this month.  The 50/50 was won by Wayne Hughes and the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm. by President Moody.
