President Jim Moody opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Roger Reid led the Club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Berruti brought Karen Tilton as his guest.
The March Minutes were approved. The Treasurer's report was given by George Smallwood and accepted. Our committee consisting of Lee Langer, Bryan Weller, and April Malara are still exploring options with other charities in Lake County. Bryan spoke to us about the possibility of doing something for "Toys for Tots". This matter is still under discussion.
Greg Solomon our lecture chairman reminded us about the up coming lecture schedule. May 5th we will have Ice McDonald doing his lecturing Rethink. This lecture will be at 2 PM at the Best Western in Leesburg. Jim Moody mentioned how much he liked the pen thru bill routine we learned at the Cameron Francis lecture in March.
Lee Langer spoke about the Sinai Temple show we did on March 24th. The Temple was very pleased with the show and has asked us do it again for them next year.
We will be having our summer picnic at George Smallwood's house again this year. Thanks once again to George for providing the location. Judy Dunn will be in charge of the games. The picnic will be held on Sunday June 23 at 1:00 PM. The next meeting is going to be May the 23rd. Next months theme will be escapes. Jim Moody won the 50/50.
Tonight's theme is what I got at the auction. Lee Langer will be our MC for the evening. Greg Solomon did a "He Loves Me - He Loves Me Not" Card Routine with Marjean Goulet. Bryan Weller did a very humorous presentation of the McCombical Deck created by British magician Billy McComb that he got at the auction. Roger Reid did Hipity Hop Clowns he got at the auction. This is like Hipity Hop Rabbits but with circus tent covers and different colored clowns. Terry Harris did and excellent Okito Box coin routine with Myrna Smith.
