June 21st meeting

June 21st 13 members of Ring 258 motored to Orlando to attend the Ring170 lecture by Bob Sheets.This trip took the place of our June meeting.Craig Fennessy lecture planner for Ring 170 introduced Bob as a "top comedy magician." Bob started things with some fancy card falls, and admitted it was an electric deck. Bob makes everything he does look easy.Seeing him prepare his show tells you that he believes what he preaches,practice and more practice. Humor continues to flow as Bob does a card effect by Trevor Lewis, An egg bag and lemon effect, dice as a paddle trick, a PatrickPace three card monte,rope thru body and a version of Abbotts Idiot rope trick.Bob stressed the importance of introducing your own personality int your act.Next Bob worked some of his own versions of the three shell game. "Make it like a game with the audience, and show them how its fun to loose".A fun night was had by all and all came away with some new ideas.
