Meetings are the 4th Thursday of the month. Our next meeting is on the 24th of May at 7:00pm. The meeting will be at the New York Cafe 1690 Citrus Blvd (Hwy27/441) Leesburg.

This month’s Magic Luncheon will also be at the New York Cafe on May 9th at 1pm.

The April Meeting consisted mostly of a discussion of The Villages Show the prior night. The consensus of opinion was the show went well and several suggested reasons the attendance was down from last year. There were approximately 450 at the first show and 300 at the second.

Welcome to new members Tom Golabek, Mike LaMonica and Andrew Long. We are happy to have you as part of our Magical Family. Mike is a member of SAM 77.

Who’s working?

Greg Solomon is appearing at Rondo’s on Monday nights from 5 to 8. Rondo’s is on Ocala and Kids eat free.

Magic Ian will be conducting Lectures in Jacksonville on May 17th, Ft Walton Beach on May 6th, and at the Space Coast on May 20th.

Congratulations to Donald Pierson who was the recipient of the Magic Ian’s Award of Excellent. The award was presented to Donald during our meeting. Way To Go Donald!

It was suggested that if The Villages Show is going to have special arrangements, i.e. no fire, advance

notice is given the performers so there is no need for last minute change in routines.

Hopefully we will remember this for next year. One suggestion was less silks. The difficulty in purchasing tickets for those other then Village Residents was discussed, perhaps we can work on this.

Everyone agreed that the Lobby Magicians did a great job and warmed up the crowd. Great Job Guys.

We had no winner of the Trivia Question.

The 50/50 was won by our new member Mike LaMonica.
