Magic organizations

International Brotherhood of Magicians:

The International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) is the world's largest organization for magicians boasting nearly 15,000 members worldwide. With over 300 local groups, called Rings, in more than 73 countries, the I.B.M. is considered to be the most respected organization for amateur and professional magicians in the world. http://www.magician.org International Magicians Society IMS began in 1968, to help promote and preserve the art of magic and provide a format where magicians (and magic hobbyists) could share their secrets and ideas for the improvement of magic. http://www.learnmagic.com

Magic Castle

The Magic Castle is the private clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts, a very special organization devoted to the advancement of the ancient art of magic. The purpose of The Academy is to encourage and promote public interest in the art of magic, with particular emphasis on preserving its history as an art form, entertainment medium, and hobby. Beginning with a charter membership of 150, the Academy has grown into a world-renowned fraternal organization with a membership of nearly 5,000. http://www.magiccastle.com

Society of American Magicians

The Society of American Magicians, founded on May 10, 1902 in Martinka's famous magic shop in New York City, New York, is the oldest and most prestigious magical society in the world. For over a century it has promoted the ideals shared by Kellar, Houdini, Thurston and over 30,000 others world-wide who have held membership in the society. These ideals include the elevation of the Art of Magic, the promotion of harmony among magicians, and the opposition of the unnecessary public exposure of magical effects. http://www.magicsam.org

Society of World Deaf Magicians

The Society of World Deaf Magicians was founded in 1986 by a famous international deaf mime, Horst Bormann of Leipzig, officially adopting the SWDM name in 1992. The Fellowship of Christian Magicians

The Fellowship of Christian Magicians Inc. is an international organization of people who develop and utilize sleight of hand, optical illusion, ventriloquism, puppets, balloons, clowning, juggling, storytelling, and other visual arts to promote the Gospel. http://www.gospelcom.net/fcm/

The Magic Circle

The Magic Circle, the most prestigious society in the fascinating world of magic and illusion.
