The Ring has completed the purchase of the drape backdrop, which will be stored at the home of Magic Ian. A group of members will be needed to do a "practice run" of setting up the display, so that when we actually need to use it we will know what we are doing. The seller also has a large "guillotine" and other illusions for sale. Rich Hewitt purchased a sword cabinet.

With no other "business" to be transacted, the formal meeting was adjourned.
(Entertainment Portion)
After a short break the entertainment portion of the evening, on the topic of "Mentalism", began.
There were a total of 15 performers this evening! Our largest turnout of performers in some time! The performers included Roger Reid, Rich Hewitt, Andy Young, "Stash", Past President Dave McCullum, George Smallwood, George Shields, Chris Dunn, Magic Ian, Dandy Dan, Aaron and Greg Solomon, Lee Langer, Alan Konstan and President Jim Moody.
There were just too many effects to detail here. Suffice it to say that selected cards were found, prediction envelopes were correct, dollar bill serial numbers were read, ESP cards matched up, "thought transfer" worked, "X" marked the spot…more than once, minds were controlled, newspaper clippings were predicted, and selected colors vanished and reappeared! And, oh yes, there were some effects that were not "Mentalism"! Their performers simply turned out to be "mentally challenged", as their attempts to "Wow." us failed. But it was all good natured fun among friends!
Respectfully Submitted, Roger Reid, V.P
