The meeting was opened by President Jim Moody at 7:00 p.m. George West led the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Brad Weller was a guest. President Moody announced the sad news of the passing of Mr. Bob Hayes.
The December meeting minutes were accepted and approved. The Treasurer's report was accepted and approved.

Old Business:
The new officers for 2012 were introduced. President - Jim Moody, Vice President - Roger Many, Treasurer - George Smallwood, Secretary - Wayne Hughes, Sargent-at-Arms and Librarian - George Shield. Roger Many is the club Lecture Chairman.
The following names were discussed as potential lectures for the club for the year 2012. Phil Cass & Fred Apple, Williams Magic, Rafeal Benatar, Brando &Sylvan and Devon Knight. Roger is going to check on dates and prices and get back to the club. President Moody explained the clubs policy on 4 free lectures a year for members and that the club could have more lectures but it could involve a small charge for attending members. Club member Chuck Smith had handed out a survey last year asking members what they would like to see the club doing or doing more of. President Moody read the results saying the club would like more Lectures, followed by Close up Magic and then Commroderie.
The December 28, 2011 Congregation Sinai show in Minneola went very well with the Congregation and the Club proffiting from it. The new P.A. system worked very well.
The Holiday Party at the Royal Highlands was a great time. The room is very conducive for the party and the catered food was excellent. President Moody was our M.C. Terry Harris and Tom Golabeck performed. Terry's Bill in the Lemon routine is very entertaining and Tom's magic trivia contest was a lot of fun. Tom was very engaging as the host. Congragulations to table six for winning the contest. Overall, the Holiday party was a lot of fun. The bad news is that we have to find a new place for the party this year due to a small mess that was made and not cleaned up.
New Business:
2012 Dues are Due. Please remit to George Smallwood.
The Ring will be doing a Friday, March 2, 2012 show at the "Old Forest High School". As per Greg Solomon, Chick-fil-A will be handing out flyers through their drive thru window. Greg says that approximately 1800 cars go through daily. Chuck Smith volunteered to video tape the show. The following members are scheduled to perform: Terry Harris, Greg Solomon, and David Lyons. The show is to run 90 minutes plus a 15 minute intermission. Anyone who would like to perform or help backstage should get in touch with Greg.
This year's picnic at George Smallwood's house will be in May instead of July. A vote was taken and decided to move the picnic up due to the heat in July.
Everyone received the 25th Anniversary Top Hat to celebrate the club's first 25 years.
Flea Market and Lecture:
The Club voted in favor of continuing the Flea Market and Lecture. We always try to hold ours about 6 month after the Orlando Club. Roger Many will be checking on available dates and get back with the Club next month. President Moody reminded everyone that we can always use help in organizing and working the Flea Market and Lecture.
Jim Moody and George Smallwood announced they have acquired a magic collection and will be auctioning it off. Scott Rosenfeld is checking on dates for the conference room where he works to use as the auction site. Dates for the auction will be announced.
Ian Sutz, the Club's Webmaster, reported that the website has been renewed. If anyone wants to submit any information about themselves (bios, pictures, events, links etc) just send it to him at Magicians@aol.com.
For the Good of the Organization:
A vote was taken and passed to do away with the "trick jar". The 50-50 drawing was won by Gail Taylor. The theme for tonight's show is "Magic I received for Christmas or at the Holiday Party". Greg Solomon was selected as the M.C. for tonights show. First up was Greg Solomon who perfomed the Rainbow Deck. Chuck Smith followed with divination of a turquoise river stone among 4 black river stones. Dave Lyons performed a combination Ambitious card and Triumph routine. Ian Sutz did a new routine using his Arm Slicer. Brian Weller did a very funny presentation for the Needle thru Balloon. Don Taylor found a selected card by locating the spectator's thumb print on the card and Jim Moody perfomed a pen thru dollar bill.
Meeting ended at 9:35 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Wayne Hughes, Secretary
