Our next meeting is on Thu., May 26, theme: "Magic With Jumbo or Giant Playing Cards."
Magic Lee Langer emceed the evenings' after meeting entertainment theme: "Vanish".
First up was Dandy Dan Dyer who performed The Tea Vanish in a brass cylinder and then in a dollar bill! Guest Terry Harris made pieces of paper vanish turning them into a variety of denominations, sizes and monies of various countries. Jim Moody teased everyone with a bottle of champagne which vanished when put in a paper bag and crumpled up. Roger Reid demoed the Flash Silk Vanish and the Flash Coin Vanish, two of the fastest vanishes ever. Brian Weller vanished his clown nose and had it reappear in a variety of permutations. Stash "The Polish Crowd Teaser" Golabeck did a take off of someone (?) else's routine. The beautiful and talented Myrna Smith caused a chosen card to vanish from the deck and reappear in a backpack across the room! Chuck Smith (no relation) caused the entire contents of a shaker of salt to vanish and no one could figure it out! Terry Harris reappeared to demonstrate the "one ahead principle" using props gathered from the dinner tables. Very resourceful!
Respectfully submitted, Roger L. Reid
